Job Description
WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
1st or 2nd Shift | Monday - Friday | $18/hr | TempToHirePOSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking dependable, safety-focused Warehouse Associates to join our team. Candidates may be assigned to Shipping & Receiving, Forklift Operations, Wire Cutting, Material Handling, or other warehouse functions based on their experience, skills, and the needs of the operation. The ideal candidate has experience working in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or production environment and is comfortable performing a variety of material-handling duties. Previous experience operating a forklift, working in shipping and receiving, or cutting/handling wire and cable is highly valued but may not be required for every assignment. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are reliable, willing to learn, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a warehouse team.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Depending on department and assignment, responsibilities may include: Receive, inspect, verify, and put away incoming materials and products. Pick, package, label, stage, and prepare products for shipment. Load and unload trucks, containers, pallets, and other materials. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely, when qualified and assigned. Move inventory and materials throughout the warehouse and production areas. Accurately count, measure, verify, and record materials. Assist with inventory control, stock organization, and maintaining accurate warehouse records. Operate wire and cable cutting equipment according to work orders and specifications, when assigned. Measure, cut, bundle, label, and package wire and cable accurately. Review work orders, shipping documents, receiving paperwork, and other warehouse documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices. Complete additional assignments and related duties as requested by management.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, material handling, forklift, or wire/cable experience preferred. Forklift experience required or certification is a plus. Wire cutting or wire/cable handling experience is a plus but not required for all positions. Ability to accurately follow work orders, instructions, measurements, and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Good communication, teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn new responsibilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or plant environment. Comfortable performing physical warehouse duties throughout the shift. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks as required. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds .
