Job Description

John Jones Auto Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to join our team. The Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning, preparing, and maintaining new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet dealership standards and are ready for customers. Responsibilities Wash, dry, and clean new and pre-owned vehicles. Vacuum and thoroughly clean vehicle interiors, including carpets, seats, dashboards, consoles, windows, and other surfaces. Clean and condition upholstery, leather, vinyl, and interior trim. Wax, buff, polish, and apply other exterior treatments as needed. Clean wheels, tires, wheel wells, and exterior trim. Remove stickers, decals, residue, and other materials from vehicles as needed. Prepare vehicles for customer delivery and dealership display. Detail trade-ins and pre-owned vehicles in preparation for sale. Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet dealership cleanliness and appearance standards. Report any vehicle damage or concerns to management. Maintain detailing equipment, tools, chemicals, and supplies. Keep the detail area clean, organized, and safe. Move and park vehicles safely throughout dealership property. Assist with lot organization and vehicle movement when needed. Follow all dealership safety procedures and guidelines for the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous automotive detailing experience preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Dependable with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently. Ability to manage multiple vehicles and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow instructions and dealership procedures. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
