Warehouse Associate

  • Elkhart, Indiana We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Associate to work 1st shift in our Elkhart, IN facility who takes pride in moving stuff in and out the doors and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • You'll Love It Here Play a key role in maintaining and improving critical manufacturing equipment Work with advanced electrical, electronic, mechanical, and control systems Contribute to machine improvements and capital project initiatives Opportunities to expand technical skills and stay current with emerging technologies Supportive team environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package What You'll Do Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical maintenance on production and auxiliary equipment Troubleshoot and repair equipment to restore it to "as-built" condition Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to established schedules Monitor machine performance and assist in developing preventive maintenance programs Support machine modifications and continuous improvement projects Ensure equipment complies with quality system procedures and work instructions Maintain compliance with OSHA, National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and company safety requirements Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating across departments What You Bring High School Diploma and five (5) years of warehouse experience Ability to safely use and drive a forklift Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and interact effectively with a variety of people Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, and PPE usage Ability to frequently lift up to 30 lbs.

The Warehouse Associate, under the direction of the Warehouse Specialist, is responsible for warehouse related duties that include order picking and receiving, truck loading and unloading, production support, cycle counts, verification for accuracy, quality of finished goods and raw materials both in and out bound, and the putting away of items in locations. Accountabilities include accuracy of transactions, meeting established standards and goals and following established guidelines and procedures regarding safety, GMP and department work instructions. Warehouse Operations Operate forklift equipment to perform required duties to support production, fill customer orders and ensure consistent flow of materials both inbound and outbound. Meet department goals for efficiency. Participate in continuous improvement efforts. Perform recycling/regrind duties. Quality Fill customer and production orders accurately and efficiently, ensure that product is stored, received and shipped to quality standards. Perform timely and accurate transactions to maintain the integrity of inventory systems. Maintain department equipment by performing daily checks, maintain department KPI's. Perform cleaning as needed to maintain GMP/AIB requirements. Safety Follows all policies and procedures regarding safety and participates in company and department safety initiatives. Communication Communicates with all customers and team members in a courteous, prompt and accurate manner. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent (1) year of relevant warehouse experience Must complete forklift certification upon hire Desired Skills Basic Math, Computer and Mechanical Skills Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing Proven ability to work independently Forklift experience (both stand-up and sit-down lift preferred)
