Immediately Job Description PURPOSE Perform a variety of warehouse, inventory control, receiving, shipping, delivery, and customer service functions in support of Fort Wayne Community Schools. Receive, inspect, store, inventory, distribute, and deliver textbooks, instructional materials, furniture, supplies, equipment, mail, and other District assets. Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory systems, assist with purchasing and receiving activities, and provide exceptional customer service to District schools and departments.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent Warehouse/inventory experience, preferred Valid driver's license Ability to obtain forklift certification within six months of employment Basic computer skills Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control and management, fixed asset accountability, safe operation of warehouse equipment, and BusinessPlus or successor ERP strongly preferredESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Receive, unload, inspect, verify, and process incoming shipments. Store, organize, label, and maintain warehouse inventory. Pull, stage, package, load, and distribute textbooks, furniture, supplies, equipment, and mail. Operate District vehicles to deliver materials safely. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely. Maintain accurate inventory records within District inventory and financial systems. Apply, maintain, replace, and verify District asset tags. Maintain fixed asset records including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and adjustments. Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and inventory audits. Investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve inventory control issues. Maintain inventory system controls and internal documentation. Assist with receiving, tagging, transfer, surplus, auction preparation, and disposal of District assets. Maintain warehouse facilities in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Follow District safety policies and OSHA requirements. Provide excellent customer service to schools and departments. Assist with training new employees.
