Job Description
Job Summary We are looking to hire two individuals for two separate positions: one being a Small Tool Mechanic and the other a Small Tool Mechanic / Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Griffith, Indiana. Both roles involve repairing and maintaining small pneumatic tools, while the other role will consist of performing warehouse duties including but not limited to pulling orders, and loading trucks. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in mechanics, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with tools is a plus, but training will be provided. The position operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, offering a consistent and steady schedule. Competitive pay ($20/hour which is negotiable based on experience / qualification ) along with 401K, health insurance, and paid vacation and holidays. Responsibilities - Small Tool Mechanic Inspect and diagnose issues of pneumatic tools. Perform repairs and routine maintenance on tools such as nail guns, impact drivers, staplers to name a few. Disassemble and reassemble components to repair mechanical defects or replace worn or damaged parts. Test and calibrate tools after repair to ensure optimal performance and safety. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop area. Document repairs and maintenance performed on pneumatic tool. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members. Responsibilities - Warehouse Assistant Assist warehouse manager with pulling orders, ensuring proper wrap and weight of each order and loading trucks, ensuring that all items loaded meet the legal and regulatory requirements for transportation. Receive and check deliveries for accuracy, inspecting the condition of goods and ensuring that all material is properly documented. Maintain cleanliness of warehouse. Collaborate with office for accurate orders. Experience Previous experience in tool repair is preferred but not required. Mechanically inclined is beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently. Forklift experience a plus.
