Job Title:
Warehouse Associate - 1st Shift Job Description The 1st shift Warehouse Associate performs a combination of manual and automated tasks to support the accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing, and shipment of products. This role uses Radio Frequency (RF) handheld terminals and a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to process orders, manage inventory, and maintain an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse operation during a busy peak season contract. Responsibilities Pick and pack customer orders accurately using RF handheld terminals. Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently. Stock and replenish inventory locations using RF handheld terminals. Process orders, receipts, and inventory movements in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Receive incoming orders and finished goods into WMS using RF terminals. Stage, transport, and store products in designated areas to support smooth warehouse flow. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Handle pallets, boxes, and materials, including lifting and palletizing as needed. Operate, or be willing to train and become certified to operate, powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, walkies, reach trucks, turret trucks, and pallet jacks. Support shipping and receiving activities, including verifying counts and product conditions. Assist with general labor, material handling, and basic assembly or production-related tasks as required. Use hand tools and other basic equipment to complete warehouse tasks when needed. Follow all attendance, safety, and productivity expectations, including working required weekend shifts during peak season. Collaborate with team members across different departments to meet production and shipping deadlines. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. At least 6 months of equipment operating experience, preferably with reach truck or turret truck equipment. Experience using RF scanners for picking, packing, or inventory control. Ability to load and unload trucks and containers safely. Ability to lift and move boxes and pallets as part of daily responsibilities. Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse setting. Strong commitment to reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow directions, work both independently and as part of a team, and meet productivity goals. Basic familiarity with warehouse activities such as picking, packing, material handling, and inventory control. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, reach trucks, or turret trucks. Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to process orders and manage inventory. Experience with hand tools and general production tasks. Comfort working in a climate-controlled warehouse that may vary slightly with the seasons. Willingness to obtain and maintain certification on powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, walkies, and turret trucks. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a 1st shift position, typically scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during a peak season contract of approximately three months. During November and December, associates are expected to work every other Saturday, as well as on Black Friday and the Saturday and Sunday following Black Friday, with premium pay offered for that weekend. The warehouse is a brand-new, clean, and climate-controlled facility, though it may feel cooler in winter and warmer in summer. The team consists of about 25-30 associates working across different departments in a collaborative, supportive environment where leadership is actively engaged in employee growth. The dress code includes work pants or shorts and shirts without holes, along with closed-toe shoes, to ensure safety and comfort while performing warehouse duties. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lebanon, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
