POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the Location, Storage of parts and materials.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pull parts from inventory and deliver production materials and supplies to designated areas to support production schedules. Stage materials and tools in accordance with production work orders, verifying all listed items. Transport tools to and from the tool room as required or directed. Build or repair pallets as needed. Collect and transport steel scrap from all areas to designated containers. Maintain an orderly and organized stock/material storage area. Keep in process inventory at work centers stocked by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Communicate promptly via radio with team members to coordinate assistance and material needs. Perform pre-use inspections on material-handling equipment and complete basic operator-level repairs. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to transport materials; or signal equipment operators to move materials as needed. Identify and replace incorrect pallet sizes or containers. Report any damage to production parts, equipment, or racking immediately to management. Maintain cleanliness in inventory, loading, and equipment areas. Follow all workplace safety regulations and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license and safe driving record Previous stock or inventory experience a plus Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Organizational skills Ability to read and analyze Information Adept at handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines Excellent time management Process improvement mindset Knowledge of inventory control Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 40lbs) Data entry skills Conform to all Wayne Metals, LLC environmental policies, programs and procedures.
