Warehouse Specialist - $21/hr Job Description The Warehouse Specialist administers and operates the organizations warehouse functions, including processing, packaging, and storage of supplies, materials, and equipment. This role accounts for all materials and supplies in the facility, audits goods received into the warehouse, and oversees the receipt, storage, and shipment of materials in accordance with established procedures. The Warehouse Specialist prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving to control the flow of goods and optimize warehouse space, while ensuring effective operating procedures, efficient space utilization, and proper maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment. The position follows clearly defined procedures and guidelines and requires a basic understanding of warehouse work routines and technical processes, typically gained through at least two or more years of experience. Responsibilities Administer and operate warehouse activities, including processing, packaging, and storage of supplies, materials, and equipment. Account for all materials and supplies within the warehouse, ensuring accurate records and inventory integrity. Audit goods received into the warehouse to confirm accuracy of shipments and compliance with documentation. Oversee the receipt, storage, and shipment of materials following established procedures and standards. Prepare and coordinate schedules for shipping and receiving to manage the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space. Monitor and ensure the effectiveness of operating procedures, making use of well-defined technical processes. Optimize space utilization within the warehouse to support efficient storage and material handling. Support maintenance and protection of warehouse facilities and equipment to maintain a safe and orderly environment. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track, pick, and process inventory and shipments. Perform picking, packing, labeling, and assembly tasks to prepare orders for shipment. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verification, documentation, and staging of materials. Collaborate with different departments and teams to support overall warehouse operations and workflow. Follow established work routines and guidelines to complete tasks accurately and on time. Apply basic computer skills to enter data, update records, and generate reports related to warehouse activities. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 or more years of warehousing experience. At least 1 year of experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning equipment. Hands-on experience with inventory handling, picking, and packing processes. Ability to use RF scanners or RF scan guns to locate, pick, and record materials. Experience with shipping and receiving operations, including verification and documentation of goods. Basic understanding of warehouse inventory control and material handling procedures. Ability to perform packaging, labeling, and assembly tasks in a warehouse environment. Basic computer skills for data entry, record-keeping, and communication. Ability to work within clearly defined procedures and guidelines and follow established work routines. Comfort working in different departments and teams to support changing operational needs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Inventory experience preferred but not required. Experience with inventory cycle counting is a nice-to-have qualification. Experience in warehouse inventory, inventory control, or materials coordination is beneficial. Ability to adapt to a variety of work routines and tasks in a structured environment. No forklift experience is needed for this role. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
