Job Description

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for handling materials in the facility to store items on shelves, pull items needed for production in each area, and conveying completed goods to proper storage area. This position is also responsible for performing inventory transactions and identifying storage areas for quick retrieval.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reads production schedule to determine what daily materials are needed. Research location and production status on jobs not in the production area. Communicate with appropriate people and revise daily plans as needed. Picks product, tools, or other materials from storage racks in production departments. Move materials to staging area in the department in boxes, tubs, skids or basket. Maintains staging area for easy retrieval with pallet jack. Moves outbound materials to the next area. Makes necessary location transactions in system or uses hand scanner to move materials and record locations. Works from verbal requests due to changes in schedules. Maintains good working relations with Group Leaders and set-up personnel in each area. Retrieves items for departments based on needs. Observe all safety and OSHA procedures and standards. Maximum lifting of 25lb without assistance. PPE is required at times.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must have 2-3 years' experience in a shipping or packaging role with exposure to material handling using pallet jack, sit-down forklift, and Raymond stand-up lifts. May Raymond swing reach after training as well.
