CDL DRIVER
& WAREHOUSEPERSON--2nd Shift Gibbs Die Casting is looking for a dependable CDL Class A Driver / Warehouse Team Member to support our transportation and warehouse operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of driving, material handling, and hands-on warehouse work. You'll primarily operate tractor-trailers and straight trucks throughout the surrounding tristate area while also supporting warehouse operations when needed. What You'll Do Safely operate tractor-trailer equipment and straight trucks. Perform daily safety inspections and ensure equipment is road-ready. Hook and unhook trailers from tractors and trailers. Load and unload freight as needed. Make deliveries and pickups throughout the surrounding tristate area. Move materials using a hand truck, forklift, or by hand. Load outgoing parts and verify parts, quantities, and shipping documentation. Unload and properly store customer dunnage, packaging materials, components, and parts. Pull and process material to support on-time customer deliveries. Follow FIFO and established shipping procedures. Verify labels, routing tags, container types, weights, counts, and other customer requirements. Communicate inventory discrepancies, damaged material, safety concerns, and other issues to supervision.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement preferred. At least 3 months of related experience and/or training. Willingness to comply with FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements and annual limited-query requirements. We're looking for someone who is: Safety-conscious and dependable. Comfortable both behind the wheel and in a warehouse environment. Able to work independently while also being a team player. Detail-oriented when handling parts, quantities, paperwork, and shipments.
