JOB PURPOSE

The Materials Handler will transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with changeovers by clearing out the workstation of the product left after the job is complete. Weigh count materials that need returned to the warehouse and make necessary bin transfers. Distribute and store products as directed in designated, secure locations. Sets up the incoming shift with materials needed. Review shipments for quality and quantity; review labels for accuracy and initials. Ensure workstations have appropriate materials needed for production orders Transport and load materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids). When issues arise with quantities of skids, notify the supervisor and adjust inventory accordingly. Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Perform other related duties as assigned. Fill materials/resins in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent verbal communication and time management skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Good math and written communication skills. Good with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience with forklift operation. High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or other formal training in related field preferred. At least two years of related experience required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of walking. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. Must wear safety gear, such as glasses and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.
