Job Description Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Material Handler.

Material Handler Job Details Schedule :

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM. Occasional Saturdays required as needed.

Walton, KY Material Handler Requirements/Qualifications Must be able to read, write, and speak English. 1-2 years of stand-up forklift experience required. At least 1 year of RF scanner experience required. 2-3 years of sit-down forklift experience preferred. 1-2 years of reach truck experience preferred. Hazmat experience preferred. Ability to read pick tickets, issue sheets, and bills of lading. Basic math and computer skills required. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and routinely lift or move 20-50 pounds. Ability to roll 55-gallon drums weighing up to 350 pounds. Ability to stand or walk for up to 95% of the shift and sit while operating a forklift for up to 50% of the shift. Ability to reach and lift overhead. Must be comfortable working in temperatures ranging from 50°F to 85°F.

Required dress code:

Long pants and steel-toe or composite-toe safety shoes. No makeup, jewelry, or fingernail polish. Must wear required PPE, including safety goggles, face shields, gloves, aprons, and hairnets, as applicable. About the Material Handler Role As a Material Handler, your responsibilities will include: Move raw materials, distribute components, and handle finished goods while following FDA guidelines and company safety procedures. Distribute materials to production lines using issue sheets. Verify components and maintain accurate inventory records. Report damaged inventory, product discrepancies, and material shortages. Maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory control. Operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and electric pallet jacks. Operate shrink wrap machines and pallet banders to prepare products for shipment. Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure safe operation. Assist with shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading materials. Verify finished goods for release. Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety rules, and work instructions. Wear appropriate PPE when charging or watering batteries, working near open product, cleaning chemical spills, or handling pallets and products. Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse and production operations.
