Job Description

Pipeline Packaging, an employee-owned company, is a leading industrial rigid packaging distributor in the United States seeking an enthusiastic, responsible and customer oriented individual that has a positive attitude and shares the values of our company culture which is built around teamwork, family, honest communication and producing desirable results for our New Orleans, LA facility. Summary Truck Drivers are responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods and other articles of trade to our customers. You will be tasked with driving and maintaining trucks that will be assigned to you, as well as working closely with our team of dispatchers to plan routes and track deliveries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Efficiently pick orders according to shipping procedures Verify orders to ensure they are correct before being shipped. Load and unload trailers by hand or with use of a forklift Maintain warehouse premises and equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness. Drive various distances to deliver goods to customers. Load and unload cargo. Record cargo deliveries. Refuel and clean vehicle. Report road incidents to the dispatcher. Follow traffic & DOT laws. Daily inspection of trucks and record issues Follow accident procedures. Log hours of service with electronic log device. Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Class A CDL or commercial driver license. Current TWIC card. May require to make overnight trips for deliveries. Must understand FMCSA and DOT laws and guidelines.
