Chemical Manufacturing / Industrial Operations Position Overview We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Technician to support warehouse and Investment Recovery operations at an industrial/chemical manufacturing site in Hahnville, LA . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in warehouse operations, material handling, inventory management, and forklift operation , along with the ability to work safely in an active industrial environment. Experience with SAP, MRO/plant materials, scrap handling, or Investment Recovery is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Perform daily warehouse operations including receiving, unloading, loading, storing, picking, and delivering materials . Pull and stage materials and support inventory control activities. Perform warehouse transactions using SAP, mobile applications, and computerized systems . Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate inventory records and follow established warehouse procedures. Support scrap metal and Investment Recovery operations throughout the site. Manage materials and equipment stored within the Investment Recovery facility. Work with common industrial/plant materials including pumps, valves, gaskets, piping components, and miscellaneous equipment . Support scrap container management and related site activities. Receive training to operate a backhoe for scrap metal handling/compaction, as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety, environmental, PPE, and operational procedures. Communicate effectively with warehouse, maintenance, operations, and other site personnel. Perform other warehouse and Investment Recovery duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse, material handling, inventory, or industrial operations . Forklift/material handling equipment experience. Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems. Ability to learn and use SAP and mobile applications . Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook . Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures. Reliable, dependable, and willing to learn new processes and equipment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a chemical plant, refinery, manufacturing facility, or other industrial environment . SAP warehouse/inventory experience. MRO or maintenance warehouse experience. Familiarity with pumps, valves, gaskets, piping components, or other plant equipment. Experience with scrap, salvage, recycling, or Investment Recovery operations . Backhoe or other heavy equipment experience. Physical & Work Environment Ability to routinely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in various physical positions. Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors. Ability to work in industrial environments involving heat, humidity, cold, noise, dust, chemicals, fumes, and odors while using required PPE. Must be able to safely work around moving equipment and active plant operations.
