Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders, and keeping warehouse stocked with essential equipmentESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Verify incoming shipments for appropriate quantity and quality.
- Process invoices, claim vouchers, purchase orders, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
- Plan layout, maintenance and up keep of stockroom and other storage areas and consolidates existing stock to maximize space utilization.
- Use computerized systems to enter data into inventory control systems, maintain inventory, complete records of supply transactions.
- Monitor KPI's, performance levels and quality control.
- Process and verify inventory movement transactions, maintain overall accuracy of inventory levels based on predicted requirements
- Operate all lift equipment (forklifts, pallet jack etc.), in a safe manner to ensure personal protection and to ensure the protection of other personnel and company property.
- Load/unload merchandise or material from cars or trucks.
