Previous manufacturing/ production environment experience — warehouse-only experience does not qualify High-reach forklift experience in a production or manufacturing environment Experience receiving, scanning, putting away, and moving materials to production/WIP locations Experience using a handheld/RF scanning device Ability to follow pick lists and accurately verify labels against products Ability to safely handle materials and operate equipment in a manufacturing environment Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work standing, walking, reaching, climbing, bending, and kneeling
Job Description:
The Material Handler supports manufacturing operations by safely moving raw materials from receiving to storage and production areas. The role involves high-reach forklift operation, handheld scanning, inventory movement, material staging, and supporting production while following strict safety, quality, and SOP requirements.
Responsibilities:
Receive and verify raw materials against labels and documentation. Use handheld scanners to move materials from receiving to designated put-away locations. Follow pick lists and retrieve materials from rack locations. Scan and move materials to WIP locations and production areas. Safely operate high-reach forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Maintain accurate material counts and production records. Follow SOPs, PPE, LOTO, Hazard Communication, and other safety requirements. Keep production areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
