Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and dedicated delivery driver to join Ashland Lumber Company. This position requires excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude at all times. You will mainly be responsible for delivering materials to multiple job sites during the day. Duties Safely and responsibly operate delivery vehicles, including pickup trucks and Non-CDL flatbeds, to transport materials to the correct locations. Making sure materials are secured to the trucks before driving for safe deliveries. Load and unload items onto and off of the trucks. Provide exceptional customer service by interacting positively with customers during deliveries and at the yard. Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any issues during deliveries. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including stocking inventory and organizing materials. Experience A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Previous experience in building materials industry is a plus, but not required. Willing to train new employees to help build product knowledge. Strong customer service skills are important and a must for this job. Experience operating forklifts is beneficial, but training will be provided as necessary. We are looking for someone who is motivated and wants to learn and be a part of the team. This is an entry level position within the company, but there is absolutely room for growth for the right employee.
