Job Description

Overview Applied Aerospace and Defense, operating under American Flowform and Machining are seeking a dependable, hardworking Temporary General Laborer / Shop Helper to join our manufacturing team immediately. This position supports our CNC machining department by maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient shop floor. Responsibilities Shop Floor Cleanup. Sweep metal shavings (chips), empty coolant bins, wipe down CNC machinery, and maintain clean, hazard-free walkways. Deburring & Finishing. Use hand tools, grinders, and sanders to smooth sharp edges and remove burrs from freshly machined metal and plastic parts. Material Handling. Assist with loading raw material stock into saws and machines; safely move materials around the shop floor.
General Assistance:
Support shipping/receiving, and assist CNC operators with basic tasks as needed to keep production moving. Requirements Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to follow detailed safety protocols, read manufacturing routers, and understand technical work instructions. Must be a U.S. Citizen due to the nature of the work, compliance with federal contracts, and exposure to ITAR/EAR-regulated technical data. Exceptional attendance history and the ability to consistently work 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with the willingness to work additional hours based on business needs. Ability to stand for the entire 8-hour shift and frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Must own and wear safety-toed work boots. Safety glasses and hearing protection will be provided. Must be able to pass a standard pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen. No prior CNC experience required; hands-on training will be provided on the job. Prior experience in a warehouse, construction, or manufacturing environment is a plus. Pay:
