Job Description
Overview We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and professional Warehouse Assistant to join our growing team. This is a part-time position designed for an individual who takes pride in an organized workspace and is looking to build a long-term career with a company that values professional development and internal promotion. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation of warehouse experience, technical proficiency, and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
Responsibilities Inventory:
Efficiently receive, unload, and check-in incoming shipments, both physically and to our software system. Ensure all stock is organized and stored according to company standards.Equipment Operation:
Safely operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve heavy pallets and materials.Order Fulfillment:
Accurate picking, packing, and labeling of outgoing orders to ensure timely delivery to customers, and the ability to cut pad for underlayment.Quality Control:
Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues to a manager or supervisor immediately.Facility Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment by adhering to all safety protocols.Skills Experience:
1 year experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred, but we will train the right person.Technical Skills:
Proficient and safe forklift operation is a requirement. Training provided.Computer literate:
Comfortable using email, inventory/POS software, and basic data entry.Organization:
Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail - specifically in the area of product receiving and cataloging.Professionalism:
A strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to represent the company professionally.Growth Mindset:
A genuine willingness to learn new processes and take on increasing responsibility. The right candidate will be willing to learn new skills that help the company, and by extension, the individual, to grow.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly, occasionally more. Ability to move customer furniture carefully and without damaging floors. Ability to work on warehouse floor cutting pad.Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 per weekBenefits:
