Employees will also provide support as needed at: 428 Newburyport Turnpike Rowley, MA Candidates must be comfortable working at both the Newburyport and Rowley locations when business needs require. Shift 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM $19 to $21 dollars per hour Opportunity Type ? 18-Month Contract Opportunities Excellent Opportunity to Gain Experience with an Industry Leader Position Summary The Material Handler is responsible for controlling and maintaining the accurate transfer of parts and materials in and out of the stockroom. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining stock levels, expediting materials, and coordinating shortages to keep production moving efficiently. Key Responsibilities- Receive, store, move, and control materials throughout company facilities.
- Ensure accurate transfer of parts and materials in and out of stockrooms.
- Verify inventory levels and maintain stock balances.
- Monitor and communicate material shortages.
- Locate, expedite, and deliver critical materials to support manufacturing operations.
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Utilize material handling equipment including pallet handlers, skids, and hand trucks.
- Work closely with manufacturing, planning, logistics, and warehouse teams regarding material availability and status.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Qualifications
- Experience loading and unloading materials, supplies, or equipment.
- Warehouse, stockroom, inventory, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience preferred.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, skids, or similar material handling equipment.
- Forklift/Fork Truck experience is a plus.
- Basic computer and inventory tracking skills.
- Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
- Experience communicating material status and coordinating shortages with multiple departments. Physical Requirements
- Approximately 80% standing and walking throughout the shift
- Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds
