Job Title:
Hiring! 1st shift Material Handler - $23/hr Job Description This role involves hands-on material handling in a production and warehouse environment, using a computer to track parts and pick lists while safely moving materials to staging areas for further processing. You support smooth production flow by accurately handling raw stock materials and maintaining organized inventory. Responsibilities Handle raw stock materials such as steel and aluminum bar stock manually and move them safely throughout the facility. Use a computer system to track parts, review and follow pick lists, and update inventory records accurately. Transport materials from storage locations to designated staging areas for processing. Support production operations by ensuring the right materials are available at the right time and location. Perform general labor tasks in the warehouse and production areas as needed, including loading and unloading materials without the use of a forklift. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in line with facility standards. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while handling and moving materials. Collaborate with production and warehouse team members to coordinate material flow and resolve any material-related issues. Essential Skills Proven experience in material handling, warehouse, or general production work. Ability to perform heavy lifting and repetitive manual labor safely. Basic computer skills to track parts, work with pick lists, and update inventory. Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to perform general labor tasks, including loading and moving materials without a forklift. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and updating records. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work efficiently in a team environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general warehouse operations, including inventory support and material staging. Familiarity with industrial environments that handle raw stock steel and aluminum bar stock. Comfort working in a structured production setting with established processes and safety standards. Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and willingness to assist across different tasks as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a very safe, very clean industrial facility that handles raw stock steel and aluminum bar stock. You work in both warehouse and production areas, performing manual material handling without the use of a forklift. The environment emphasizes safety procedures, cleanliness, and organized workflows. Dress typically aligns with an industrial setting, including appropriate workwear and protective equipment as required for handling raw materials and performing general labor tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
