hanover, maryland Posted 3/27/2026 Closes 7/31/2026 Job details Summary Spherion $18.00 - $19.00 per hour Temporary 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Industry warehousing & distribution (Transportation and Material Moving Occupations) Reference number S_173912 We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler I to support warehouse and technology center operations. This role is responsible for handling, packaging, and moving inventory efficiently while ensuring accuracy and safety in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in warehousing, shipping/receiving, and equipment operation such as pallet jacks or forklifts.

Responsibilities:

Package, label, and prepare pallets for outbound shipments Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks, including parcel shipments Transport materials throughout the warehouse using pallet jack or forklift Maintain accurate inventory records and perform data entry in internal ERP systems Ensure all shipments meet quality and accuracy standards Organize and stage materials to support workflow efficiency Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30

PM Skills:

Forklift certification (stand-up, sit-down, or pallet jack experience) Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP platforms RF scanner/barcode scanning experience ... Shipping & receiving experience in a high-volume environment Inventory control and cycle counting experience Basic computer skills (data entry, tracking systems, Microsoft Excel) Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA standards Experience handling sensitive or high-value materials Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
