Matching bills of lading to purchase orders and editing quantities is the primary function. The Receiver will inspect arriving product to make sure it meets Whole Foods Market quality standards and record specific arrival information such as temperature. Restacking product as necessary so pallets will fit properly in warehouse rack as well as operation of powered industrial trucksJobResponsibilities
  • Use computerized warehouse management system via radio frequency scanner and handheld device
  • Operate dock plates, dock locks, and warehouse loading bay doors
  • Operating an electric/motorized ride on standing pallet jack (either single or double) or forklift
  • Assist in cleaning the warehouse, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Comply with all applicable health and safety codes
  • Communicate and maintain employee safety and security standards
  • Arrive to work on time, wear appropriate PPE, work all scheduled shifts, complete required training and attend required meetings.
  • Ability to read and speak basic English
  • Ability to use basic math quickly (add, subtract, multiply Ti/Hi of a pallet)
  • Must be 18 years year of age
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Associate Team Leader, Team Leader, and Facility Leadership.
  • Must wear approved shoes while on the warehouse floor, steel or composite toe.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Previous receiver experience in Food/Grocery distribution is preferred
  • Experience working with an electric/motorized ride on standing pallet jack (either single or double) or forklift
  • Required to work with drivers
  • Computer experience desiredDesired Work Experiences
  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Must at least be 18 years of age
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Regularly lift cases up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift cases up to 70 lbs (with team lift suggested for weights more than 70 lbs)
  • Work in a cold/wet storage facility environment (ranging from -10 (freezer) to 46 degrees Fahrenheit). General warehouse temps 34-46 degrees, Freezer 0-10 degrees.
  • Regularly getting on and off powered equipment, stepping on and off throughout shift.
Ability to:
bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
Hand use:
single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks
    Availability Requirements:
    • Average shifts are 10 hours long
    • Ability to work a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • Team Members receive their schedule up to 3 weeks in advance.
    The wage range for this position is $23.10-$39.60 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
