The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking a Technical Trainer in support of the HASTUS Phase 2 - Rail + MVP Bus Operations & Bidding project to support the migration from the legacy system Trapeze to HASTUS. This role will be a temporary contract position to support bus and rail daily operations during the lifecycle of a major Trapeze to HASTUS upgrade initiative for the anticipated period of 24 months. WMATA currently uses Trapeze and HASTUS for Bus and Rail scheduling, bidding and daily operations. This procurement is for an IT Technical Trainer who will design, develop and deliver IT Training through a variety of channels including classroom, video and CBTs to coordinate the strategic training needs for the ten (10) Rail Divisions and nine (9) Bus Divisions as part of the Trapeze to HASTUS migration and deployment waves. It is essential for this resource to be able to learn HASTUS to provide ongoing support to the Bus and Rail Scheduling Operations teams. Duties/Responsibilities Ability to learn HASTUS to provide ongoing support to Digital Modernization (DM) and the Bus and Rail Scheduling Operations teams. Strong understanding of the technical subject matter and relevant technologies. Attend Train-the-Trainer course for Phase 2 Rail +MVP Bus Daily OPS & Bidding. Prepare training materials such as presentations, manuals, videos, and online resources such as CBT's. Assess the effectiveness of the HASTUS training programs through evaluations feedback, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments. Work with subject matter experts, DM teams, and HR/ Payroll to ensure alignment with organizational goals and identify training needs. Ability to identify and resolve training-related issues. Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Skills Experience developing and designing technical training content Required 6 Years Experience delivering technical system training Required 6 Years Experience with curriculum development and successful technical training delivery Required 6 Years Experience developing training materials such as presentations, manuals, videos, and online resources such as CBT's.
