Union Keg Selector Mitchell Companies - 3.2 Nottingham, MD Job Details Full-time $17.65 - $18.50 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Safety standard operating procedures Material handling safety practices Full Job Description Warehouse Keg Picker Full-Time | Monday-Thursday | Warehouse Operations Mitchell Companies is looking for Warehouse Keg Pickers to accurately select, prepare, and stage beer kegs for customer deliveries. This position plays an important role in ensuring orders are picked correctly, organized, and ready for timely delivery. This is a hands-on, physically active warehouse position that requires working in a cold box for extended periods. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Why Join Mitchell?
Starting Pay:
$18.50 per hour 4-day workweek — Monday through Thursday Stable, year-round employment with an established company Hands-on warehouse experience Team-oriented work environment Benefits and additional opportunities available based on company eligibility What You'll Do Accurately select and pick beer kegs from warehouse cold box shelves based on customer orders Safely stage and prepare kegs for loading and transportation Ensure orders are picked accurately and ready for scheduled deliveries Maintain organized inventory by properly storing and arranging kegs Inspect kegs for damage or defects and report issues to the supervisor Ensure kegs are properly labeled and stored according to company standards Follow safe lifting and handling procedures to prevent injury and product damage Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks as needed Work closely with warehouse employees, loaders, drivers, and supervisors to ensure timely order fulfillment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment Complete required paperwork or digital logs related to inventory, picking, and shipping Perform additional warehouse-related duties as assigned What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to work in a cold box environment for extended periods Ability to repeatedly lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, and pull for extended periods Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper lifting techniques Preferred Qualifications Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience Beverage or food distribution experience Forklift, pallet jack, or cherry picker experience Forklift certification Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems or distribution processes Knowledge of OSHA warehouse safety standards Work Environment & Physical Requirements This is a physically active warehouse position.
Employees routinely:
Work in a cold box environment with low temperatures for extended periods Lift and carry kegs and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Repeatedly push, pull, bend, reach, and walk throughout the shift Stand and remain active for extended periods during a 10-hour shift Work around warehouse equipment and varying temperatures and noise levels Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment If you're looking for a 4-day workweek, competitive starting pay, and a hands-on warehouse opportunity , we'd like to hear from you.
