Job Description

Position description ELY Inc. is a small museum services company located on in the DC area. Since 1998 we have been working with museums of all sizes as well as private collectors, both locally and nationally, to install, deinstall, mount, pack, crate, and store collections. Warehouse Specialist ELY, Inc. is looking for a detailed-oriented individual to be responsible for the day-to-day warehouse and inventory activities including receiving, shipping, counting inventory, daily building checks, scheduling service and maintenance of our warehouse. The Position is full-time hourly. ELY Inc.

Health and dental insurance Health Savings Account Paid time off Simple IRA Education and Student Loan reimbursement Responsibilities and Requirements Complete daily check of all building systems: HVAC, security, utilities, internet, electric, and plumbing. Maintain relationships with all building system vendors for scheduling service and maintenance needs. Maintains schedule and service for all company vehicles and forklifts.
Maintains storage database:
logging all storage movements and warehousing client scheduled visits. Complete quarterly inventories accurately. Place orders as needed to keep warehouse properly stocked. Assist Managers as needed. Keep warehouse and office facilities clean and orderly. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment. Other duties as assigned. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Good communication skills and ability to follow instruction. Warehouse experience preferred. Ability to calculate basic math figures. Ability to work with standard office equipment. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Good written and verbal skills. As well as ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Ability to work under pressure. Forklift experience preferred, but not required. Work well in a team environment. Help to efficiently carry out all loading and unloading tasks. Ability to carry up to 49 pounds. Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, etc. Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper management. Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Always adhere to health and safety rules and regulations. Wear protective clothing and equipment as required. Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently according to company protocol. Work with other team members to effectively complete assigned tasks. Must have a valid driver's license Must be at least 18 years of age with some type of manual work experience.
Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience:
Forklift and pallet jack experience a huge plus
Required:
Must be Forklift Certified within 90days of employment. We will train.
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
