      Job DescriptionPosition Summary:
      The Food Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse operations by safely receiving, moving, storing, packing, and preparing food products for customer orders. This role requires attention to personal safety, food safety, inventory accuracy, and clear communication with team members and supervisors.

      Job Requirements
      • Follow all company safety procedures and use proper lifting, handling, and material movement practices to prevent injury.
      • Follow food safety, sanitation, temperature control, allergen control, and product handling requirements at all times.
      • Offload incoming materials, verify product condition and quantities, and report shortages, damages, or quality concerns promptly.
      • Move materials throughout the warehouse using approved equipment and procedures, including forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling tools as assigned.
      • Pick, pack, label, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately and according to schedule.
      • Support packing activities by confirming product type, quantity, lot codes, dates, and packaging requirements.
      • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, product rotation, location updates, and prompt reporting of discrepancies.
      • Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of hazards, including aisles, docks, storage areas, and workstations.
      • Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, coworkers, drivers, and other departments to support safe and efficient operations.
      • Use basic computer systems, scanners, or inventory tools to enter, retrieve, and verify warehouse information as needed.
      • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support operations, customer service, and food safety requirements.
      Qualifications
      • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
      • Previous warehouse, food distribution, manufacturing, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
      • Basic computer skills preferred, including the ability to use inventory systems, handheld scanners, email, or simple data entry tools.
      • Ability to read labels, order forms, lot codes, dates, and basic warehouse documentation.
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, cleanliness, and safe work practices.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
      • Good verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

      • Demonstrated excellent attendance and dependability in previous work, school, or related responsibilities.
      • Ability to report to work on time, follow assigned schedules, and communicate promptly regarding attendance or scheduling concerns.
      • Consistent reliability in completing assigned tasks, supporting team needs, and maintaining productivity throughout the shift.
      Physical Requirements
      • Ability to routinely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
      • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
      • Ability to work in warehouse conditions that may include varying temperatures, refrigerated areas, noise, and active material movement.
      • Ability to safely use assigned warehouse tools and equipment after training.
