This is a full time, day shift position with benefits. This person will provide assistance to customers and drivers, and receive and prepare material for shipment. Yard Personnel e ssential functions include: #1 priority is to ensure customer satisfaction while never compromising safety Assist with ensuring yard is kept clean always Unload vehicles and check for material accuracy Place material in proper yard location Use all required safety equipment Assist other employees as needed Load trucks for delivery Put returns away Check vehicles for any problems; including daily forklift inspections Proper arrangement of material on trucks Proper storage of inventory Communicate clearly, accurately, and effectively with employees, management, customers, and suppliers Perform any special assignment/projects as required by the Operations Manager Asset preservation Ad nce to all safety and fire regulations and anti-theft procedures Promote a positive image of
BIG C Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to obtain Chauffeur license is preferred Basic math skills Ability to become Forklift Certified Ability to lift, carry, and move 80# to specified areas, in rough terrain, up/down steps Ability to withstand exposure to harsh weather conditions Attention to detail Ability to coordinate as well as work in a team Ability to adapt to in-house software
