$0.75 premium + $1.00/hr attendance bonus

Full-Time, Direct Hire Job Summary Engauge Workforce Solutions is seeking a dependable Material Handler / Production Support Operator for a direct-hire opportunity with an established automotive manufacturing operation in Auburn Hills, MI. This position supports the manufacturing floor by moving and delivering materials to machine operators, staging production materials, and helping keep equipment supplied throughout the shift. The facility utilizes headers and rollers to manufacture automotive fasteners and components. This is not a traditional shipping, receiving, or dock position. The primary focus is internal material handling and supporting production operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a long-term manufacturing career. The company has a strong promote-from-within philosophy, with opportunities to advance into Machining, Maintenance, Quality, Lead, and Management positions . Training Schedule Candidates must be available to train on 1st shift for approximately 2-6 months , depending on experience, training progress, and business needs.

Training schedules may include:

5:00 AM

•1:00 PM 6:00 AM

•2:00 PM The specific training schedule will be discussed upon hire. Upon completion of training, the employee will transition to their assigned 2nd-shift schedule. Responsibilities Operate sit-down forklifts to safely transport materials throughout the manufacturing facility. Deliver raw materials, containers, and production supplies directly to machine operators and work centers. Keep header and roller operators supplied with materials to maintain continuous production. Move finished and in-process materials between designated production areas. Monitor material needs throughout the facility and replenish work areas to minimize production downtime. Stage and organize materials for upcoming production requirements. Assist with weighing, counting, identifying, and organizing production materials as needed. Learn the flow of materials and manufacturing processes throughout the facility. Maintain proper identification and placement of raw materials and work-in-process inventory. Perform pre-shift forklift and equipment inspections as required. Follow established safety procedures while operating forklifts and working around production machinery. Maintain clean and organized production and material storage areas. Cross-train on additional equipment and manufacturing responsibilities as experience develops. Qualifications Previous material handling experience within a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Previous sit-down forklift experience strongly preferred. Experience supplying production lines, machine operators, or manufacturing work cells is a plus. Comfortable working around industrial manufacturing equipment and machinery. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. Strong attendance, reliability, and work ethic. Ability to work independently while supporting multiple production areas. Willingness to learn additional manufacturing processes and responsibilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. Must be available to complete approximately 2-6 months of training on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift.
