Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled General Labor / Welder to join our team. This role combines hands-on physical work with welding expertise to support various manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high safety standards while delivering quality craftsmanship. You will play a vital role in fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities Perform metal fabrication tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials using hand tools and power tools Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure precise execution of projects Conduct welding operations utilizing various techniques such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and stick welding in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to verify dimensions and tolerances during fabrication and assembly Operate rigging equipment for lifting and positioning heavy materials safely within the shop environment Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to strict safety protocols at all times Assist with other manufacturing processes as needed to support project completion Requirements Proven experience working in a fabrication shop environment with metal materials Strong knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical schematics accurately Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, machining, pipe threading, rigging, and plasma cutting processes Experience with power tools, hand tools, fabricating sheet metal components, and interpreting technical drawings Commitment to safety protocol adherence in all aspects of work activities Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings confidently Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks Join our team if you're ready to bring energy and precision to a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real impact!
