Demolition Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers to assist with cleaning, preparing, and maintaining foreclosed and vacant residential properties. This position involves a variety of hands-on tasks to ensure homes are clean, safe, presentable, and ready for sale or occupancy. This is a 1099 position. Preferably having your own transportation from and to each property. Properties can be anywhere in metro detroit area.
Responsibilities:
Clean and remove trash, debris, and unwanted items from foreclosed and vacant homes. Perform interior and exterior property cleanouts. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors, walls, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas. Remove damaged or unwanted furniture, appliances, and household items. Assist with light demolition and removal of damaged materials when necessary. Perform basic yard cleanup, including removing leaves, branches, weeds, and debris. Assist with minor property maintenance and repairs as needed. Load, unload, and transport tools, supplies, and debris. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment. Complete assigned jobs efficiently and according to company quality standards. Take before-and-after photos and document completed work when required. Work independently or as part of a team at different residential properties.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in cleaning, construction, property preservation, maintenance, or general labor is preferred but not required. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Dependable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours. Ability to follow instructions and complete work independently. Basic knowledge of hand tools is a plus. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily at vacant and foreclosed residential properties. Employees may work indoors and outdoors and may encounter dust, dirt, debris, damaged materials, and other typical conditions associated with vacant properties. Proper safety equipment and procedures must be followed at all times.
