K&M Industrial in Gladstone, Michigan is currently seeking qualified people to join our team. We are currently looking for temporary laborers with the possibility of full time. Competitive pay and other benefits offered.
Responsibilities:
Performs general manual labor including loading, unloading, lifting and moving supplies and materials. Tasks such as painting, grinding, cleaning, bolting, insulation, tank cleaning Choose appropriate tools and equipment for the completion of one's duties Must be able to take direction and follow through Comfortable Climbing Ladders and Working in Confined Spaces Other job related duties as assigned Understand and act upon instruction Work independently to complete responsibilities Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to travel Lodging is taken care of by the company Meal per diem included -Will be required to wear personal protective equipment- hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots/shoes and, when necessary, respirator qualifications: Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent Mechanical ability, manual dexterity, and hand/eye coordination required to perform various projects, per drawings, sketches, and verbal or written instructions Must be reliable with regular attendance Willingness to travel We are a federal contractor, so pre-employment drug screening is necessary Must be 18 years or older. The ability to lift 50lbs. Must be willing to work on/around ships.
Compensation & Benefits:
Position compensation is based on experience. Job requirements include but not limited to loading and unloading job trailers, perform assigned duties given by supervisor. Physical stamina and strength (ability to lift 50 lbs), ability to take direction and follow through with given tasks taking pride in our work. There may also be travel to jobs outside of Gladstone; so the ability to be away from home at times is also required.
