Book Distribution | Production | Warehouse | Fulfillment Build Production & Fulfillment Skills in a Fast-Paced Warehouse Our client is hiring a Production Line Associate to join its 1st shift production and fulfillment team. This position plays an important role in the company's book sorting and fulfillment operation. You'll work directly from a conveyor belt, evaluating book condition, scanning qualifying items into the company's software, and helping keep products moving efficiently through the warehouse. This is a strong opportunity for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable staying active throughout the workday, and interested in gaining experience in a production, warehouse, or fulfillment environment. What You'll Be Doing As a Production Line Associate, your responsibilities will include: Scan and sort books and other items coming off the conveyor belt Evaluate book condition and accurately identify items that meet quality standards Scan books in good condition into the company's software system Follow the software's routing process to ensure products are directed to the correct destination Maintain an individual production goal of 240 scans per hour Move gaylords and other materials as needed to keep production stations stocked Operate a pallet jack to move product and materials throughout the warehouse Multitask between sorting, scanning, material handling, and other production responsibilities Maintain a steady and physically active pace throughout the shift Keep work areas organized and production stations running efficiently Work with coworkers to maintain consistent product flow and meet daily production goals Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures What We're Looking For Successful candidates typically have: Strong attention to detail, especially when evaluating product condition Ability to accurately sort and scan products in a production environment Ability to multitask and adjust as production priorities change Self-motivation and the ability to consistently work toward production goals Reliable attendance and dependable work habits Punctuality and consistency in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment Ability to remain on your feet and active for the duration of the shift Willingness to learn company software, processes, and production procedures Positive attitude and strong work ethic Previous experience in warehouse operations, production, fulfillment, shipping/receiving, material handling, or manufacturing can be helpful, but the most important qualities are reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a consistent production pace.
