Job Description
Lapeer-based plastic injection molding manufacturer is seeking Experienced Forklift/Material Handlers to join their team manufacturing plastic interiors such as door panels, consoles, glove compartments. These are 1st shift positions, Mon-Thurs, 5A-3P (some overtime may be required on Fridays). Pay is $15.00 per hour. Must have minimum of 2 years of forklift experience and have held a forklift certification. $1.00 increase after 90 days of hire on, and attendance bonuses. This is a fast-paced environment! Qualifications:
- Follows directions correctly as instructed and pays attention to detail.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous Forklift/Material Handler experience; previous forklift certification.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Remove old labels from packaging prior to taking to the area. 2. Ensure packaging is provided to operators as required in the Job Instruction book. 3. Packaging used for scrap parts is to be labeled "Scrap". 4. Provide components to operators as required in the Job Instruction books. 5. Return all unused components and packaging to the proper storage area. 6. Ensure color changes are completed in a timely manner. 7. Remove and store material no longer being used. 8. Remove finished parts of old color from area. 9. Prior to moving finished parts, make sure boxes have been approved by quality. 10. Move finished parts to warehouse staging area. 11. Move parts to be flocked and/or assembled from flocking staging area to the proper work area. 12. Make sure scrap parts are properly labeled and taken to the proper area. 13. Follow all housekeeping requirements. 14. Sort/rework parts when required. 15. Know and follow all TS-16949 andISO-14001
