Job Description
Universal Staffing Services Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Clerk in Oxford, MI. This is a full-time position. Summary The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for processing warehouse assignments within our order picking software. This position assigns prioritization to orders for warehouse staff, prepares and distributes all required order documentation, and serves as a key liaison between the Warehouse and Customer Service teams. The Clerk reports directly to the Warehouse Manager while working closely with the Warehouse Supervisors. Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, order processing, logistics, distribution, or customer service is preferred.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory management software preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment Essential Job Functions
- Prioritize assignments based on shipping schedules within the order picking system to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Print, organize, and distribute pick tickets, supporting documents, and other required paperwork for warehouse personnel.
- Partner with Customer Service to coordinate third-party shipment requirements (quantities, weights, dimensions).
- Communicate order changes, priority requests, and operational updates to warehouse leadership in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve order flow, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Assist with additional warehouse administrative and operational duties as assigned. Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled during the summer months.
- Common Allergens including product ingredients and a dog-friendly office workplace.
- Possible lifting/moving of objects up to 51 pounds and work at elevated heights up to 25 feet about ground level.
Schedule and Benefits Pay:
$18.00/hourBenefits:
Health benefits begin the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.Schedule:
10: 00am - 8: 30pm Monday through Thursday- Due to the nature of this position work outside of normal hours may be required.
