Job Description
Adecco is currently assisting a local Customer in their search for a Material Handler in Peck, MI . Responsibilities for a Material Handler include but are not limited to: Verify and maintain records for incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare, package, and pack items for shipment according to company procedures. Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently. Assemble orders and verify accuracy against shipping or customer orders. Receive and unpack materials and supplies. Inspect incoming shipments for shortages, damages, or defects and compare against purchase orders. Expedite materials to the appropriate department or storage location. Operate material handling equipment such as cranes, hoists, or powered industrial trucks. Candidates for Material Handler must meet the following requirements to be considered: Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work overtime as needed. Basic computer skills. Ability to calculate measurements, percentages, and basic mathematical formulas. Ability to identify problems, gather information, and draw valid conclusions.
