General Labor Job Description We are seeking dedicated individuals for General Labor positions on the 2nd shift, with six openings available. This is a full-time, long-term position in the manufacturing sector, specifically focusing on producing carpeted products for the automotive industry. Responsibilities Load and unload materials and assemblies into presses. Perform inspections and produce formed and trimmed products. Handle carpet assemblies weighing 10-15 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds during material handling. Work overtime and weekends as needed, with consistent six-day work weeks currently. Essential Skills Experience in manufacturing and production. Proficiency in inspection, loading, trimming, and unloading processes. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Stable work history with at least 1-2 years at previous jobs. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Candidates should be willing to work overtime and weekends. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our facilities operate on three shifts: 1st shift (7 AM
- 3 PM), 2nd shift (3 PM
- 11 PM), and 3rd shift (11 PM
- 7 AM).
The work environment includes multiple stamping cells with presses per cell, supporting a high-production shop that tracks efficiency closely. Each shift consists of approximately 70 production employees, with a structured system of Line Leaders who receive weekly training and opportunities for advancement. The job involves standing at a press with a material cart, performing inspections, and trimming parts if necessary. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Port Huron, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36400.00
