Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from suppliers
- Inspect and verify the accuracy of received items against purchase orders or invoices
- Sort, label, and organize received items in designated storage areas
- Update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) or other tracking systems
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments for customers or other departments
- Perform order picking and packing duties as needed
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts to move items within the warehouse
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment preferred
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes and procedures
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving operations, including MRP systems and AS400
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts (certification preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying received items and updating inventory records
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively sort, label, and store items in designated areas
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management
