VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA MICHIGAN INC.
is hiring a Dock Worker FT - Saginaw City in Saginaw, MI. This is a full-time position. Dock Associate Help Us Serve the Community! About the Role As a Dock Associate at VOAMI, youll be the backbone of our donation and warehouse operations. Your work ensures that donated items are processed efficiently and safely, helping us generate revenue that funds critical programs for individuals in need. Every item you handle helps someone in your community live a better life.
What Youll Do Dock Operations:
Safely unload and load trucksInspect, clean, and prepare donated furniture and appliances for saleApply pricing and move items to the sales floorAssist customers with unloading donations and loading purchasesWrite donor receipts and maintain simple records
General Warehouse Support:
Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal and salting affected areas
Additional Responsibilities:
Follow VOAMI policies and proceduresComplete tasks promptly to ensure efficient store operationsOther duties as assigned Why It Matters Your efforts directly support VOAMIs mission to provide housing, food, and essential services to those who need it most. By keeping our donation process smooth and safe, you help turn generosity into life-changing programs for Michigan communities. What Were Looking For Ability to safely move heavy, fragile, or cumbersome items (50 lbs or more)Knowledge of safe equipment usage (carts, lift gates, compactor)Ability to read lists and write accurate donation receiptsStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn store policiesAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Requirements Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy itemsComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptionsAbility to interact professionally with a diverse public VOAMI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
