https://montagueinn.com Position Summary Montague Inn Bed & Breakfast is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable person to join our team. This position combines bookkeeping, event coordination, and guest service responsibilities. Event planning and guest service duties will be performed at Montague Inn. Some bookkeeping duties may be performed at another nearby office location. Candidates must be comfortable working at both locations. The ideal candidate will have QuickBooks experience, good communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to help with the daily operations of the Inn. Training will be provided for our specific procedures and systems. Bookkeeping Responsibilities Maintain financial records using QuickBooks. Enter income, expenses, deposits, and payments. Prepare invoices and track outstanding balances. Organize receipts, bills, contracts, and other records. Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations. Track wedding and event deposits and payments. Help with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general office duties. Prepare basic reports for management. Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information. Event Planning and Sales Responsibilities Respond to wedding and event inquiries by phone, email, and in person. Show the property to prospective clients and explain available packages. Help prepare wedding and event contracts. Follow up with potential clients and assist with confirming bookings. Help clients plan basic event details and timelines. Communicate with clients, vendors, and staff before and during events. Keep the event calendar and client records organized. Assist during weddings and events when needed. Help promote Montague Inn to attract more weddings, events, and overnight guests. Front Desk and Guest Service Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly customer service. Answer phone calls, emails, and general questions. Assist with reservations, check-ins, and checkouts. Process payments and provide receipts. Respond to guest requests and concerns. Communicate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management. Help keep the front desk and common areas organized. Assist with other daily Inn activities as needed. Required Qualifications Working knowledge of QuickBooks is required. Previous bookkeeping or related office experience. Good organization and communication skills. Friendly and professional customer service skills. Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on assignments. Dependable, honest, and attentive to details. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation between work locations. Availability for some evenings and weekends based on the event schedule. Preferred Qualifications Experience in hospitality, front desk operations, wedding planning, event coordination, sales, or marketing is helpful but not required.
