General Laborer /
Packaging Technician Location :
Wilson, MI Job Type :
Full-Time Shift :
8:00am-4:30pm
Compensation :
$15-$20 hourly Position Overview Wilson Enterprises is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team in a dual role as a General Laborer and Packaging Technician . In this role, you will split your time depending on our production needs. No prior experience is necessary! We provide 100% fully paid, comprehensive safety and technical training from day one. What You Will Do Packaging & Bundling :
Secure, wrap, strap, and label finished wood products according to company and shipping specifications.
Mill Operations :
Assist with moving raw lumber, stacking wood, clearing debris, and feeding materials into processing machinery.
Quality Control :
Inspect lumber for defects, dimensions, and grade consistency before final packaging.
Facility Support :
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Safety Adherence :
Strictly follow all OSHA guidelines, wear required PPE, and report any equipment hazards immediately. Minimum Requirements (No Experience Needed)
Reliable Transportation :
Must have a dependable way to travel.
Physical Stamina :
Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive lifting and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
Dependability :
A proven track record of punctuality and excellent attendance.
Team Player :
Ability to take direction well and work safely alongside a tight-knit crew. Bonus Skills & Experience (Not Required, But a Major Plus!) While we are happy to train the right person, candidates who possess any of the following will be highly competitive and may qualify for faster advancement: [Material Handling] : Prior experience operating a forklift, pallet jack, or industrial manufacturing equipment. [Power Tools] : Familiarity using strapping tools, pneumatic nail guns, or industrial saws. [Measurement Skills] : Ability to read a tape measure quickly and accurately down to 1/16th of an inch.
[Safety Training]:
