Job Description

2 Youth Services Assistants - These part time (26 hours) positions will supervise and interact with youth on a daily basis as they utilize the Youth Center and participate in activities. This position will assist Coordinator and Director in the development, implementation, coordination and supervision of academic and recreational activities. This position requires direct interaction with children in grades K - 12, parents and community members. This position generally works afterschool, evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must possess and maintain a current valid MI. driver's license while meeting all insurance carrier requirements. Must be able to obtain a chauffeur's license and necessary endorsements to drive company vehicle. Experience facilitating activities for children ages 7 - 19 yrs and their families. Knowledge of current youth interests and trends. Basic computer knowledge-Windows, Excel, Internet, email, etc. Ability to problem solve regarding youth behavior issues; to handle multiple tasks at one time in a stressful environment; to talk to kids about issues and concerns; must be a good role model at work and within the community. Must be able to pass a school background check.
Wage:
$15.50.
