Job Description
Material Handler - Lead Hand Flyer paid holidays, 401(k) United States, Minnesota, Crookston 214 5th Avenue Southwest (Show on map) Sep 02, 2026 As a Material Handler at Flyer, you will be an essential part of our manufacturing team, responsible for facilitating the movement of materials and ensuring an organized workspace. Your duties will include receiving and storing parts, operating material handling equipment, and supporting the assembly process to maintain an efficient workflow. A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is crucial in this fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Maintain a safe work environment; adhere to safety policies, procedures and processes.
- Operates forklift, walkie rider, and other material handling equipment to move parts to point of use on production floor. Expedite parts when needed.
- Set up material storage racks, bins, carts, etc. for proper storage online to prevent damage or loss.
- Create and maintain bins and drop areas for part deliveries and removal.
- Support assembly technicians in lifting and moving of materials on production floor.
- Accurately count parts and cycle count parts when directed. File rejected parts on a daily basis.
- Move and empty trash containers into appropriate hoppers.
- Recording part shortage information in appropriate areas and leadership.
- Receives work direction from department leader. Requirements Previous forklift operating experience
- Previous employment with warehouse, shipping and receiving responsibilities and experience
- Must possess good written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and follow verbal and written directions
- Ability to thrive in busy, fast-paced production environment
- Ability to listen and be aware of shipping/receiving/production floor activity to support a safe and hazard free working environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials safely
