Job Overview Production Associates play an important role in supporting daily production operations and helping maintain an efficient, productive, and safe workplace. This position involves preparing and repackaging fresh produce, operating production equipment, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting line leaders with daily production activities. This is a cold and wet work environment maintained at approximately 36°F. Candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions and arrive properly dressed and prepared for the temperature. Assignment Details This is a temporary-to-hire position with seasonal production needs. Candidates must understand and agree to the anticipated assignment schedule: Initial assignment is expected to run from approximately August/September through Thanksgiving. Most temporary employees are expected to be released during November/December as seasonal demand decreases. Additional production ramp-up is anticipated from approximately January 2027 through June 2027. Key Responsibilities Assist the line leader with daily transactions and workflow management. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Identify production issues and recommend solutions when appropriate. Help ensure high-quality produce is prepared for daily production runs. Meet or exceed established productivity standards. Communicate with leadership when production standards or goals are not being met. Monitor and understand key production performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare, cut, and repackage fresh produce according to customer specifications. Operate production machinery, including potato peelers and bag sealers. Clean and sanitize floors, tables, cutting boards, equipment, and other work areas. Follow all sanitation and safety procedures. Comply with SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards. Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements. Work cooperatively with team members and production leadership. Skills & Qualifications Successful candidates should have: Effective verbal communication skills. Ability to follow production, safety, and sanitation procedures. Basic computer skills. Ability and willingness to learn lean manufacturing processes. Strong attention to detail. Dependability and a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Bilingual candidates are preferred. Previous production, food processing, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to: Lift and/or move 25-50 pounds safely and consistently. Stand for extended periods of time. Perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift. Work comfortably in a refrigerated environment of approximately 36°F. Work in wet conditions. Operate production equipment safely. Work Environment This position is performed in a cold, wet food production facility.
