Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator - Reach Truck to join a warehouse team in Otsego, MN. This position is responsible for safely operating a stand-up reach truck while supporting receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory operations. The ideal candidate has at least two years of recent stand-up reach truck experience and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Strong attention to safety, inventory accuracy, and efficient material handling is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a stand-up reach truck forklift throughout the warehouse. Receive, move, store, and distribute materials and products. Unload inbound shipments and place inventory in designated warehouse locations. Load outbound trailers while ensuring products are properly secured and meet shipping requirements. Pick, move, stage, and fulfill orders accurately. Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and material movement. Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as needed. Verify product quantities, locations, and shipping information for accuracy. Create shipping documents and process products through computer systems. Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damaged materials. Perform required equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns. Maintain clean and organized warehouse, staging, and storage areas. Provide internal support and customer service as needed. Follow all company safety policies, forklift procedures, and housekeeping standards. Perform additional warehouse and material-handling responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of recent stand-up reach truck forklift experience required. Previous warehouse, material handling, shipping, or receiving experience preferred. Experience using RF scanners or scan guns required. Basic computer skills required. Ability to accurately follow detailed written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Dependable with consistent attendance and a strong work ethic. Forklift certification preferred; company training and certification may be provided if needed. High school diploma or GED preferred. Steel-toe boots required. Ability to safely operate a stand-up reach truck for extended periods. Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform material-handling activities. Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. Frequent operation of stand-up reach trucks and other material-handling equipment. Regular exposure to loading docks, warehouse equipment, moving machinery, and active shipping and receiving areas. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots, must be worn as required. Must consistently follow established forklift, warehouse, and workplace safety procedures.
