Job Description

Job Summary:
The Millworks Laborer supports production and operations in a millwork environment, performing machine setup, operation, and material handling according to standard procedures. This role emphasizes quality, safety, and efficiency while assisting the team in producing finished wood products to specification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate millwork machinery according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Set up, adjust, and maintain machines to meet production and quality standards. Schedule and coordinate blade/tool changes, cleaning, and equipment teardown. Dislodge and clear jammed wood, panels, or other materials from machinery. Communicate with material handlers and production leads regarding workflow and material needs. Accurately track and record production data and outputs. Ensure products meet customer specifications; communicate specifications to team members. Use calipers and other precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and production documentation. Identify production line issues, non-conforming products, and implement corrective actions. Lead or support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives. Promote teamwork, safety, and a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in millwork, woodworking, or manufacturing is preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to read schematics and blueprints. Skilled in industrial math and measurement tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Leadership and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles preferred.
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
