Job Description

Root River Hardwoods is looking for an experienced Moulder Operator to join our production team. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience operating and setting up industrial woodworking moulders who can produce quality millwork efficiently and consistently.
Job description:
This position is responsible for setting up and operating woodworking moulding equipment to produce quality hardwood products to customer specifications. The ideal candidate has prior moulder experience, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to independently perform machine setups, tooling changes, adjustments, and quality checks. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate industrial woodworking moulding equipment.
  • Set and adjust cutterheads, knives, tooling, feed speeds and machine settings.
  • Read work orders, drawings and product specifications.
  • Produce mouldings and other wood products to precise dimensions and profiles.
  • Inspect finished product for quality, dimensions and defects.
  • Make machine adjustments to maintain consistent quality and production.
  • Troubleshoot basic machine and tooling issues.
  • Perform knife/tool changes and routine machine maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Safely handle lumber and finished materials.
  • Work closely with other production team members to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and production standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating and setting up a woodworking moulder is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with a Weinig, Leadermac, SCM or similar moulder is a plus.
  • Experience setting and changing knives, cutterheads and tooling.
  • Ability to read and understand production specifications and profile drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use tape measures, calipers and other measuring tools accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Knowledge of different wood species and how they machine
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a team
  • Ability to lift and move lumber and materials as needed
Pay:
$24.96 - $30.06 per hour
