Job Title:
Material Handler Job Description The Material Handler ships, receives, stores, and tracks inventory while ensuring that all parts are handled in accordance with federal and internal standards. This role operates forklifts and other material handling equipment, performs packaging, palletization, and labeling for shipment—including dangerous goods and international shipments—and completes all required carrier paperwork and labels. The Material Handler also executes physical and ERP goods movements to keep inventory accurate and flowing efficiently. Responsibilities Ship and receive materials, ensuring all items are processed accurately and on time. Store and track inventory in accordance with established procedures and federal standards. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently, including sit-down, stand-up, counterbalance, stock picker, reach truck, and pallet jacks as required. Perform order picking, loading, and unloading of materials using RF scanners and related equipment. Package, palletize, and label products for shipment, including dangerous goods and international shipments. Prepare and apply carrier paperwork and labels accurately for all outgoing shipments. Conduct physical goods movements and record transactions in the ERP system to maintain accurate inventory records. Support shipping, receiving, and cycle counting activities to ensure inventory accuracy. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with workplace standards. Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining regular and predictable attendance. Essential Skills Previous forklift experience with counterbalance, stock picker, and/or reach truck. At least 1 year of experience in a warehousing or distribution environment. Hands-on experience with shipping, receiving, and cycle counting activities. Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks. Experience with RF scanners for picking, packing, and inventory transactions. Ability to perform order picking, loading, unloading, and general material handling tasks. Capability to complete packaging, palletization, and labeling for shipments, including dangerous goods and international shipments. Ability to perform and record physical and ERP goods movements accurately. Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a warehouse inventory environment. Background in labeling and packaging for various carriers and shipment types. Comfort using both sit-down and stand-up forklift equipment, including reach trucks. Attention to detail when handling documentation, carrier paperwork, and labels. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in distribution operations. Why Work Here? The role follows a schedule of approximately 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., supporting consistent hours in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to follow standard warehouse safety practices and wear appropriate work attire suitable for operating material handling equipment and performing physical warehouse tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Rogers, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
