Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, handling materials, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. This position requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork within a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to facilitate the movement of goods. Perform inventory management tasks including tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate inventory control. Execute shipping and receiving duties by loading and unloading products, verifying shipments against packing lists, and preparing items for dispatch. Engage in picking and packing orders accurately to ensure timely fulfillment of customer requests. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve any operational issues that arise. Utilize RF scanners for efficient tracking of inventory movements throughout the warehouse. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Requirements Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with familiarity in warehouse distribution processes. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and order pickers. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues. Experience with packaging techniques and order fulfillment processes. Knowledge of inventory management practices and systems including AS400 is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the role. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for effective stocking and inventory control. A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment by following all safety protocols.
