Responsibilities Operate various types of warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, stock, and move materials safely and efficiently Assist in inventory control by conducting regular stock counts, updating inventory management software, and ensuring accurate record-keeping using systems like AS400 or Warehouse Management System (WMS) Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing orders for shipment, packing items securely, and verifying shipment accuracy according to order specifications Handle materials manually and with heavy equipment while adhering strictly to safety regulations such as OSHA standards and PPE protocols Participate in warehouse operations including stocking shelves, order picking & packing, load & unload tasks, and maintaining organized storage areas Follow safety procedures diligently during all tasks involving heavy lifting or material handling equipment operation to prevent accidents or injuries Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize logistics workflows and improve overall efficiency in distribution processes Skills Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklift trucks, cherry pickers, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers Strong understanding of warehouse distribution principles and inventory management techniques Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety protocol adherence Familiarity with inventory management software and warehouse management systems like AS400 or WMS platforms Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with packaging standards for order fulfillment Basic math skills for counting inventory items accurately and processing transactions Technical proficiency in operating material handling equipment safely according to OSHA regulations Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards safety compliance and operational excellence Join us in creating an efficient warehouse environment where safety meets productivity!
